Eastern Counties, the Tilling Group company that dominated the provision of public transport in much of East Anglia, was the result of an amalgamation in 1931 of a number of earlier operators in the area, including Eastern Counties Road Car and Peterborough Electric Traction.

The book covers the history of Eastern Counties from its pre-1931 origins through its years as a subsidiary of the Tilling Group to the creation of the National Bus Company and events in the 1970s and 1980s prior to deregulation and privatisation.

It includes an excellent selection of both colour and mono images recalling the great variety of vehicles operated over the years, from Peterborough's electric trams to the Leyland National of the 1970s.

Hardback Book. 240mm x 184mm. 96 pages
About 100 mono and colour photographs
