The year 2008 marked the 60th anniversary of Land Rover. Inspired by Second World War military vehicles, the Series 1 Land Rover was built in 1948. Since then large quantities of them have been produced at the Solihull plant. Many were exported to other continents and large numbers of these rugged vehicles remain in use today.
This book covers the Defender model and Series 1, 2 and 3, plus recent models (including the Range Rover). All models built for off-road performance.
