Independent Bus and Coach Fleets Series This reference book lists over 10,000 coaches operating in the UK. It is ring-bound so that it can be opened flat. Included in the book are all current UK registered coaches - Auwaerter, Ayats, BMC 850, Bova, Cannon, DAF, Dennis, EOS, Iveco, Kassbohrer, King Long, MAN, Mercedes-Benz 9xx series+, Scania, Temsa, Van Hool & Volvo. Approximately 150 pages are devoted to listing coaches. The data given for each vehicle is:
Vehicles in the hands of dealers at the time of publication are clearly identified by a "D" in the ownership column. Standard PCV (PSV) industry abbreviations are used throughout the book - details of these can be found on the abbreviations page. Approximately 40 further pages cover the previous registrations of those vehicles which have been re-registered. The format of each record is the current registration followed by an asterisk, the previous registration and the date of the change. One refinement of "Coaches of the United Kingdom" is the provision of a space beside each entry where the reader can place a mark to record the sighting or photographing of that particular vehicle. A useful and informative companion for anyone interested in passenger carrying vehicles (PCVs), which were formerly known as PSVs.
