The LMS inherited an almost infinite variety of railway stations and then added many new ones to its network. This is the first of two volumes (Vol 2 due to be published later in the year) illustrating them through photographs, track plans and line drawings.

This first volume covers major city termini like Liverpool Exchange, important junctions like Carnforth and minor rural locations, such as Dunrobin Castle. Each station is illustrated with line drawings showing detailed track plans and information regarding signalling installations.
