The late Derek Cross has become one of the most respected railway photographers, his work always being of a high standard. Living in Scotland, he had an intimate knowledge of the lines around Ayr, Stranraer and up to Glasgow and recorded some remarkable results. This colour album presents a selection of his work, compiled by his son David from the vast library of unpublished images. The end of steam and the early diesel types are featured with virtually every scene now unrepeatable, all with detailed captions.
