The author has lived in the Nottingham area since childhood and in the 1960s spent many hours photographing steam hauled trains around the area.
This is a second volume looking at lines north of Nottingham, taking in the ex-Great Central, Great Northern and Midland routes. Add Annesley and Westhouses sheds, and the result is a collection of memorable images that conjure up all the atmosphere of the period, most being published for the first time.
Also includes a complete allocation list for Annesley shed from 1st January 1923 to closure at the end of 1965.
