The four classes featured in this volume were classified as 'mixed traffic' types and were all 2-6-0s. They were designed, built and operated through the Pre-Grouping, Post-Gouping and Nationalisation eras. Gresley's first design on joining the Great Northern Railway was the K1. His popular K2 lasted through to BR days with little change to the original design.
As with all Yeadon's Register books, this volume is well illustrated and packed with detail about individual locomotives.
