Now the main line to the West, the first part of the route originally served only Weymouth and the western section was a late addition. The differing architecture is revealed and the trains through the ages are fully illustrated.
The route was part of the Great Western Railway (GWR) empire and exhibited a wide range of Swindon-built steam locomotives.
