The N1 class of 0-6-2T was to a design by Ivatt, the first being introduced in 1907 and running to 56 engines. The N2 was an improved version, by Gresley, and introduced in 1920, with 106 being built.
As with all volumes in this series, the book lists every class member with repair details, boilers carried, renumberings, and allocations.
