Originally part of the South Eastern Railway (SER) main line between London and Dover, the route between Redhill and Tonbridge became less important after the new cut-off via Sevenoaks opened, but continued to carry mainly cross country trains and local services.
The line became part of the SECR, the SR, BR (SR) and more recently Railtrack.
The historic stations and the variety of traffic are fully illustrated and detailed maps of every location are included.
