This is the author's second contribution to the hugely successful 'Then & Now' series and features around 300 locations on the old GWR network. From the great city stations to the rural branch lines, the past photographs have been sourced from a number of collections, in particular from the archive held by the Great Western Society at Didcot. The 'now' photographs have all been recorded during the last year, the author travelling many thousands of miles, and contains many surprises.
