Sub-Titled: from Ash Vale, Weybridge, Staines and Wokingham
These former secondary lines of the London & South Western Railway (LSWR) were the primary force in the development of this residential area. They also linked the surrounding marshalling yards, dutifully served the Army, transported race-goers by the thousands and were regularly used by a circus.
Varied photographs and numerous maps help to visualise the many changes that have taken place in over a century of railway activity.
