Between the wars, the Welsh Highland and Festiniog Railways provided a unique journey in Britain of over 40 miles of narrow gauge railway travel through spectacular scenery. This album recreates that experience, using historic photographs and maps, whilst also showing the difficulties under which the staff worked to maintain the train service.
Traffic fluctuation and decline are impressively illustrated with numerous graphs.
