This volume is intended to complement the four volumes of LSWR Locomotives by D L Bradley, by tracing the development of LSWR rolling stock.
The first volume of this series covers passenger trains from the opening of the London & Southampton Railway in 1838 until the end of the nineteenth century. The second volume will take the story on to the 1923 Grouping, including such limited information as is now available concerning non-passenger coaching stock and goods vehicles.
