Class J1, J2, J3 and J4. Compiled by W B Yeadon.
The GNR (Great Northern Railway) owned many 0-6-0 tender locomotives and used them across the GNR network. The locomotive superintendents responsible for classes J1 up to J4 were P Stirling, H A Ivatt and H N Gresley.
All four of these classes lasted through LNER ownership into the early BR period.
As with the other books in the Yeadon's series, this has been described as the definitive work on it's subject.
