Class F8, G5, & G6. Compiled by W B Yeadon.
The LNER F8 class 2-4-2T was originally the NER (North Eastern Railway) class A, designed by T W Worsdell. The first was introduced to traffic on the NER in1886 and the last was withdrawn by the LNER in 1937.
LNER classes G5 and G6 class 0-4-4Ts were respectively originally NER class O designed by Wilson Worsdell (brother of T W Worsdell) and class BTP (Bogie Tank Passenger) designed by E Fletcher.
The distinctive locomotive types illustrated in this book lasted into the LNER era.
