Sub-titled: including the Watford Branch
The Southern part of the final main line between London and the Midlands was closely associated with the Metropolitan Railway (Met.R) and thus both are illustrated extensively in this volume, which also includes the connection to Northolt Junction.
Marylebone was the headquarters of the Great Central Railway (GCR), which later became part of the London & North Eastern railway (LNER). The Met.R became part of the London Underground system.
The trains included range from Sheffield expresses to local electrics and freights to suburban coal yards.
