The Eastern Region lines out of London evoke a special nostalgia for many. This DVD portrays the railways of the area since the 1970s.
We concentrate on the former Great Eastern Railway line from Liverpool Street station to Shenfield, plus the former London, Tilbury & Southend Railway route from Fenchurch Street station to Purfleet (which was once part of BR's London Midland Region).
More recent scenes portray the heritage EMU number 017 in passenger service in 2001. She is shown in the company of Class 315s in Great Eastern livery and Class 86 and Class 90 electric locomotives.
