Sixty minutes of pure nostalgia. The video looks at the Cowes and Ventnor lines during tile last Indian summer of BR steam on the island between 1959 &1965. None of the cine film has been seen before and all of it is top quality material.
Selected highlights from this superb video include scenes taken at Newchurch and Alverstone stations some 3 years after closure of the Newport to Sandown line. A long look at shunting taking place in the yards at Newport and along the stub of the old Freshwater branch.
