Two programmes about the Jubilee line. Part 1 is 85 minutes of the driver's eye view from Stanmore to Stratford. Part 2 is a 23 minute documentary entitled 'London's New Railway'.

Part 1: Driver's Eye View Stanmore to Stratford:
The Jubilee is London Underground's most modern tube line. Brand new trains were introduced in time for the opening of the Jubilee Line Extension (JLE) through Docklands to Stratford in East London.

The video begins at Stanmore, having been opened by the Metropolitan Railway but subsequently taken over by the Bakerloo. After four stations, we join the multiple tracks of the Metropolitan and Chiltern Lines. At Finchley Road the old cast iron Bakerloo tunnel section begins. At Baker Street the Jubilee proper starts with the original opening to Charing Cross in 1979. Our train then diverges at Green Park and takes the new JLE through Waterloo and Docklands.

All underground stations on the JLE have platform edge doors in concrete lined tunnels, now you can see this fascinating new line as the driver does - using the latest digital cameras for the best pictures yet!

Narrated by Rob Curling

Part 2: London's New Railway:
The Driver's eye view is followed by 'London's New Railway' a documentary made for London Underground about the planning and construction of the Jubilee Line Extension.

Narrated by Richard Bath.
Written By Peter Middleton
