Continuing the story of the renovation of the Festiniog Railway using archive footage, this programme includes rare behind-the-scenes insights into the motivation and methods of those hard working volunteers who became known as the 'Deviationists'.
Despite the CEGB flooding part of the original route of the railway, the volunteers rebuilding the line built a deviation and once again connected Porthmadoc to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
