The Talyllyn Railway was the first of the 'Great Little Trains of Wales' to pass into preservation, closely followed by the Festiniog Railway. There are now eight lines which together market themselves under this banner, each of which features in this programme by famous cameraman Graham Whistler.
Filmed in 1995, this programme celebrates the wide variety of narrow gauge and miniature steam locomotives. The weather is glorious and the countryside is typically Welsh. Each line has its own unique character.
