Folkestone's Railways
Folkestone's Railways
£14.95

The railways of Folkestone have always had popular appeal. This is partly because of the spectacular steam working up the incline from the harbour, partly because of the famous 'Warren' and partly the association with efforts over the decades to build the Channel Tunnel.

There was also the fairly bleak locomotive depot on high ground where trains to and from the harbour branch reversed. This was an important part of the South Eastern & Chatham Railway (SECR) empire.
