This volume, which deals with the locomotives of Joseph Locke, John Viret Gooch, Joseph Hamilton Beattie and William George Beattie, completes the set, which will stand as a memorial to D L Bradley's unfaltering dedication in recording the locomotive history of his primary interest, the London and South Western Railway.
Of especial interest to enthusiasts are the Beattie 2-4-0 well tank locomotives which survived into the BR era.
