The LMS Jubilee 4-6-0s were designed and built under the direction of William Stanier. They could be found be found across much of the network, including the former LNWR and MR main lines.
The book shows that after nationalisation these locomotives became frequent performers on the former Great Central Railway route to London
In their final days the Jubilees could be found at the locomotive depots in Crewe, Stockport and Leeds until shortly before the end of standard gauge steam on BR.
In this well illustrated book the author's own photographs are supplemented by those of others. Most of the photographs have not been published before.
