The Indus Express features SGS, (Great Central Robinson styled 0-6-Os) CWD 2-8-2s, SGC and HGS locomotives.
Narrow gauge 1920s ZB class 2-6-2s and GS 2-8-2s along with metre gauge action from SP, YD and YE types. The climax of this superb tape featuring classic SPS 4-4-0 mainline steam action.
The Indus Express reached into the dangerous Afghan North West frontier border regions and witnessed the existence of hundreds of steam locomotives on its travels. Some locations were reached within days of the end of steam.
