The Jim Clemens Collection
This programme is the 7th volume of East Coast Main Line (ECML) memories from the lens of Jim Clemens. The area covered is the main line from London's Kings Cross station to Newcastle, plus associated lines, in the days when BR's services were predominantly steam hauled.
Most of the locations are on the former Great Northern Railway (GNR), with the more northern ones being on North Eastern Railway (NER) territory, including: -

- Doncaster
- York
- Gateshead shed
- Tyne Dock
- Seaham (with industrial locomotives).
Former London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) Pacific 4-6-2 steam locomotives can be seen in action, along with J72 0-6-0Ts, Austerity 2-8-0s (designed for the MoS by Riddles) and BR Standard classes. This programme captures a long vanished era.
