The Somerset And Dorset Bath Green Park To Masbury Summit
Ivo Peters filmed some excellent railway material and his work is legendary. One of his favourites was the former Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway (SDJR). This was a cross country route which linked the West Midlands to the south coast via rolling hills. Better still, it was the preserve of steam locomotives, with very few diesels visiting the route.
We start with a brief introduction to the line before travelling to Masbury Summit, using both published and some previously unpublished film. Several locations are pictured in 'then and now' format.
Narration is by Julian Peters, Ivo's son.
