Continuing from Vol1 this programme covers Perth to Glasgow & Stirlingshire Branches, so completing the route of the 3 hour expresses to and from Glasgow Buchanan Street.
The distinctive and famous shed at Perth is visited in the 1960s before making the journey south over the former Caledonian Railway (Caley) mainline with every station as far as Gartcosh shown using cine, photos, maps, and 'then and now' scenes.
Duchess, Patriot, Jubilee, BR Caprotti 5, Britannia, Clan, A2, A4 and V2 classes are all shown with features at Gleneagles, Dunblane and Stirling. Beyond we continue to Larbert, then head for Alloa. A 'Director' on a Queen Street service and Alloa freight precedes a DMU trip.
Coverage of the Caley's massive port at Grangemouth includes 1950s steam passenger duties and even a WD 2-10-0. More archive branch visits include a 'Caley Bogie' climbing from Bonnybridge Canal before reaching Denny.
